AURORA FOX

For one week, other students and I worked for the Ice Hotel in Levi, (Lapland, Finland) to sculpt and decorate the interior.

Finland, this northern nation, still calls the aurora borealis “revontulet”, which literally translates to “fox fire”. Legend says that an arctic fox dashed across the tundra swiping snow up into the sky, while others claim his bushy tail caused sparks when brushing the peaks of tall mountains.

So, I did an impressive fox with a tail transforming into auroras borealis spreading throughout the hall of the theater in the hotel for feeling the legend.
